We remain open and active under the federal critical infrastructure interpretive guidance provided by State of Maryland’s Office of Legal Counsel. Construction support, civil engineering, permitting, entitlement planning, and urban design staff are all maintaining business hours to provide deliverables and meet deadlines.

As a business centered on creating community, we are being vigilant in maintaining a safe environment for our staff, colleagues, and clients. Our protocols include social distancing, teleworking, and handling most meetings virtually. While most staff are teleworking, our office is staffed for deliveries, calls, and coordination. Project Description

VIKA Maryland has provided Survey, Planning and Final Engineering services for a constructed; Department of Housing and Community Development, Apartment building with first floor retail and a parking garage.

A 279 unit apartment building and parking garage were completed in 2018 and a second 267 unit apartment building is beginning construction this year. We are presently working on another Apartment building with first floor retail on the site.

The plan will create a pedestrian and bike-friendly environment with interconnected sidewalks and roads to provide an integrated development for residents, employees, and patrons of this people-friendly urban design.

The Department of Housing and Community Development building is now completed. Phase 2 of the project is under construction, while Phase 3 is still in design. VIKA Maryland's final engineering for Phase I included: environmental site design stormwater management facilities; storm drain; sediment control; and water and sewer. VIKA Maryland is providing project management and coordination for the construction of the project.
